GUATEMALA COMMUNITY TOURISM
GUATEMALA COMMUNITY TOURISM
We invite you to experience the incredible work being done in these rural communities by joining our tours and journeys. Not only will you witness firsthand the amazing transformation taking place, but you'll also be part of a larger movement to support these children and families. Your visit will make a difference, offering both direct support and inspiration to those involved in the projects.
In 2020, we had the privilege of meeting an extraordinary group of women from Sacatepéquez. These women are not only preserving the ancient art of weaving, but they are also passing down this valuable skill to the next generation. Through their efforts, they are keeping a rich cultural tradition alive.
We believe in community tourism, where the local people are not just participants, but active leaders in the experience. We work alongside talented local guides who are deeply connected to the village’s history, culture, and crafts. You are helping to create a sustainable source of income for them and their families.
The Council of Weavers in Santo Domingo Xenacoj plays a vital role in the community. Through collective efforts, the weavers are able to share resources, collaborate on projects, and ensure that their art is valued both locally and internationally. This initiative fosters a deeper sense of unity within the community.
