IVANIA SIBRIAN (FOUNDER & CEO)

Born in El Salvador and moving to Guatemala in 1978, I’ve had the privilege of dedicating over 20 years to guiding travelers and exploring the rich beauty of Guatemala. My journey as a tour guide has been a travel experience in itself, one that has deepened my love for this incredible country.

I am especially drawn to the rural areas of Guatemala, where I enjoy spending time with local families, learning about their daily lives, and capturing the essence of it all through photography. What truly excites me is connecting travelers with these local communities, fostering a deeper understanding of their traditions and way of life. A special passion of mine is the art of weaving and textiles. I’ve spent years admiring the skill and creativity of local weavers, capturing their craft through my lens, and learning from them.

Travel runs in my veins. Born and raised in Guatemala, I’ve always felt a deep connection to exploring the world—both for work and for pleasure. But my favorite way to travel is on my motorcycle, which lets me reach hidden, unexplored destinations that are off the beaten path.

I specialize in offering travelers immersive, cultural, and authentic community experiences across Guatemala. Through these journeys, I've come to believe that the heart of a culture is found in its kitchens. That’s why I spend my time learning traditional recipes from locals, sharing these culinary treasures with visitors, and teaching some in return.

Promoting community-based tourism is not just a job—it’s my commitment to supporting local communities. By guiding travelers through these unique experiences, I’m able to create opportunities for the people of Guatemala while sharing the magic of my country with the world.

As a certified Audubon birdwatching tour guide, I’m passionate about studying and searching for birds throughout Guatemala. Birdwatching isn't just a hobby for me—it’s a way of connecting with nature and sharing its beauty with others.

Beyond my tours, I’m dedicated to empowering the next generation of birdwatchers. I work closely with children in local communities, teaching them about the incredible birdlife around them. My goal is to train these young minds so they can become the future birdwatching tour guides of their own communities.
